I couldn’t sleep last night, so I decided to pop on the latest Drummer’s Resource podcast interview with Steve Jordan. Steve was dropping some knowledge and mentioned this live Otis Redding video featuring drummer Elbert “Woody” Woodson. It’s easy to take the little things in life for granted... The last 6 months have been difficult for everyone, and it hasn't allowed for much musical interaction with friends or with audiences. This weekend I was able to perform at a driveway concert for some local neighbors (with masks and social distancing). It really helped me to remember why live music is such a special thing. It brings all kinds of people together, everyone enjoying the same moment in time, and for a little while forgetting the stresses of everyday life. Here are a few clips, one drum solo and one featuring a cameo from our dog, Lady. My biggest fan :)
