Bio

Mike Gordon is a professional drummer based in Austin, known for his versatile live performances and deep roots in jazz.

After studying under John Riley and Kenny Washington at the Purchase College Conservatory of Music, Mike spent seven years performing in New York City. He shared stages with Gabriel Garzón-Montano and performed with artists including the Alison Shearer Group, appearing at venues such as Smalls and Rockwood Music Hall.

Now based in Austin, Mike is active across the city’s music scene, performing regularly at venues including the Elephant Room, Parker Jazz Club, Monk’s Jazz Club and weekly appearances with the Jacob Wise Trio at Sammie’s Italian.

Whether driving a big band or locking in with a trio, Mike brings a deep commitment to time, feel, and musicality to every performance.
